VIP Tables at Nowadays
Nowadays is a dance-floor club, not a bottle-service room, and we haven't found any VIP area or table offer from the venue. If you're coming as a group or want help picking the right night, send us a WhatsApp with the date and how many of you there are.
How to Get to Nowadays
The club is at 56-06 Cooper Ave, Ridgewood, NY 11385, near Wyckoff Ave on the Brooklyn–Queens border. The venue says the driveway is the usual way in, and that the gate is locked during parties, so ask the staff at the street entrance. Tickets and RSVPs for each party are listed on Resident Advisor; for help with a specific night, message us on WhatsApp.
Dress Code & Entry Requirements
There is no formal dress code: guides describe the door as come as you are. What matters more is the house rule of no phones or photos on the dance floor. Nighttime parties use strobe lights and water-based haze, the venue says, so plan for that if you're sensitive to either.
The room, the yard and the Nonstop weekend
Nowadays has two sides. Indoors there is a dance room of about 5,000 square feet, according to Time Out, built for house, techno and disco. Outside there is a back yard with a deck and a rough dirt-and-gravel floor, which turns into the Mister Sunday dance floor from mid-May to late October. The club signed a new lease in December 2024 and renovated its dance floor in 2026, according to the guides that track it. The weekly rhythm is simple: Thursdays depend on the event, Friday starts at 10pm and usually runs to around 6am, and Saturday at 10pm begins Nonstop, which keeps going until 10pm on Sunday. During Nonstop the venue serves snacks around 7am on Sunday, which tells you how seriously it takes the long haul.
Mister Sunday and the summer season
Mister Sunday is the outdoor Sunday party run by Justin Carter and Eamon Harkin, from 3pm to 9pm under the trees in the Nowadays yard. It needs a ticket, unlike the rest of the outdoor hours, and it runs only while the outdoor dance floor is in use, between mid-May and late October. In 2026 it was already back on May 31. If you're planning a summer trip to New York, a Sunday afternoon at Mister Sunday is one of the city's classic daytime parties; in winter the action moves indoors to Friday nights and Nonstop. We'll update this page when the 2027 season is announced.
House rules and getting there
Nowadays keeps phones and photos off the dance floor, and nighttime parties use strobes and water-based haze. Bring a photo ID. The address is 56-06 Cooper Ave in Ridgewood, near Wyckoff Ave; most people come in through the driveway, but the gate is locked during parties, so ask at the street entrance. Tickets and RSVPs for each party are listed on Resident Advisor. New York State law stops alcohol sales at 4am (ABC Law §106), which is why the long Nonstop hours are about dancing, not the bar.
