Rooftop house: Le Bain
Le Bain, on the top floor of The Standard, High Line at 444 W 13th St, is Manhattan's house and disco room. Eli Escobar plays on Wednesdays, and the November 2026 calendar includes Rich Medina and Tony Humphries. On Sundays it opens at 2pm and its World of Echoes party starts at 4pm. You can dance at the door; tables are booked separately.

Small disco rooms
Gabriela, at 90 Wythe Ave in Williamsburg, was opened in early 2024 by Eli Escobar and Rafael Ohayon for disco, house, Italo and R&B, with ROMANCE on Thursdays and no guest list. Jupiter Disco, a cocktail bar in Bushwick since 2017, has an audiophile system for disco, synth and electronic music from Wednesday to Sunday and asks guests to keep phones to a minimum. Good Room's second room, Bad Room, sticks to vinyl disco and funk. In Chelsea, Petite Disco on W 23rd St, in the old Suede space, was announced in 2024 with disco, electronic music and French decor; we found no dated 2026 event, so check with us first.

Hi-fi listening rooms
Some of the best house in the city is played on serious sound systems. Public Records in Gowanus built its Sound Room around a quadraphonic hi-fi setup and programs house, techno, ambient and jazz. Outer Heaven on Chrystie St holds about 140 people with sound by the founder of Cielo and Output. Refuge in East Williamsburg plays house and techno on a four-point system called REX.

Queer house and disco
Club Rawhide opened on June 12, 2026 at 250 W 26th St with The Carry Nation and Junior M. It holds about 160 people, plays house and disco, keeps phones off the dance floor and hosts Love Sensation, a Sunday tea dance. ANIMAL, a queer bar with a dance floor and a patio on Meeker Ave in Brooklyn, has house DJs most nights.
Sunday house
Le Bain's World of Echoes is the year-round Sunday option. In warm months, Mister Sunday moves into the Nowadays garden on Sunday afternoons, from spring to fall; it is off for the winter. Nowadays Nonstop, which runs every week from Saturday night to Sunday night, keeps house and disco going indoors all year.
