Closed, then back with Kevin Saunderson
Paragon announced in January 2025 that it would close that April, which Time Out reported to the dismay of many New Yorkers. It did not stay closed for long: BrooklynVegan and Mixmag reported that it would reopen in partnership with Kevin Saunderson, one of the founders of Detroit techno, and it was back on August 1, 2025. On January 1, 2026 it hosted an inauguration party for Mayor Zohran Mamdani, according to EDM Is Life. In 2026 it kept a regular calendar of Friday and Saturday events.
The parties
Paragon is a promoter-driven club: the night depends on who is throwing it. Regular names include Pressure, Phantasma, Paradiso, Club Stars and Papi Juice, and the sound runs from techno and house to drum & bass and Jersey club. Listings for November 2026 included Doss & Friends on November 12 and yaego, Sangre and Glass Halo on November 21. Tell us on WhatsApp which party you're after and we'll check the date for you.
